I recently had the pleasure of hearing Mayor Battle speak and was encouraged by his enthusiasm. With so much hanging in the balance with the government shut down, it was a breathe of fresh air to hear a lighter approach. He jokingly shared that wine and liquor sales were up but everything else was holding steady. He is looking not only at today but out to the next 10-15 years and the growth that will bring our area. He shared that his focus is on the infrastructure, education and new jobs. His intent is to protect our 18-20 minute commute time and improve the school system each year. With a room filled with professionals, it was a unanimous agreement that Huntsville is truly a great place to live, play and work.
